In the last house post, I mentioned the builders needed to pier the property due to the soil composition of the land. Over the last week or so, they were able to finish that up and pour the concrete for the foundation. It’s starting to sink in that this project is coming along, especially now that it’s beyond the giant-hole-in-the-ground stage.
We met with our appliance vendor over the weekend to think about what items we want in the kitchen, and later this week we’re meeting with our designer and countertop vendor. We were also able to pop by a spec property with our floor plan for inspiration on paint colors, finishes and lighting.
We’re about to start all things design, so let me know if there are any “wish you had” things or “must haves” we should be thinking about for our house.
