Anyone close to me knows winter is my favorite time of year. It’s a time where it’s all about family, friends and celebrating the meaning of Christmas. We take this time to slow down a bit, give thanks and tell those around us that we love them.
So … to get into the holiday spirit, we cranked up the Christmas music and put out all of our favorite decorations. While Eric works outside to put up lights, I thought I’d share how we jazzed up our home for the holidays.
Who doesn’t love a mini rosemary tree for the kitchen table?! I found this little guy at our local Whole Foods.
This giant sleigh bell is from a boutique in KC called Bella B Decor; I found it a few years ago.
Of course Turk gets a stocking, too! The mantle stocking holders are from HomeGoods last winter.
Several years ago, my aunt’s mom, Mary Ann, gave me a mistletoe ball. It fits perfectly on our mantle.
A little green boxwood wreath next to a lantern filled with wooden snowflakes and sparkly potpourri round out our mantle decor.
Sleigh bells on our coffee table add a bit of a whimsy touch.
My mom got me these reindeer for my first Christmas in an apartment. They’re still one of my favorite decorations.
And of course, a giant tree in our living room. I love this ribbon, not too formal and not too casual.
What’s your favorite holiday decoration? Is it something that’s been in your family for years, or something new?
