It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at our house!
The holidays are my favorite time of year … so with a little chill in the air, I got into the spirit today and spent the afternoon decorating our house.
I stopped by Michaels earlier this week for a paper cutter (for wedding save-the-dates), and stumbled upon the cutest ribbon for the tree, a new tree skirt and matching stockings – all 50% off!
I also took a quick run through HomeGoods, and snagged stocking weights (three – we can’t forget one for Turk, our Pug).
My favorite things in this room include the “Santa, it’s a long story” pillow and giant sleigh bell from Bella B Decor, and our mistletoe ball that was gifted to me several years ago.
I also did a quick update to our front door wreath. I have to admit, it’s so convenient to keep the base of the wreath and just update filler based on the season. Probably the best $35 crafting project ever.
Last but not least, I picked up a few new candles for the kitchen table and a fun sign for our guest powder room.
While I was working on unpacking all of our holiday gear, Christmas came early for Eric this weekend.
He spent Saturday afternoon and Sunday making our house “smart.” I have to say, I already love Alexa and her awesome skills. She’s keeping me organized, jamming out with me as I clean, and answering my random questions.
I hope everyone enjoys the holidays this week, and stay tuned for a recap from our Thanksgiving festivities!
